There have been lots of people calling for either Clinton or Trump (generally not both) to release tax records, charitable foundation records, and medical records.
We have a very clear place to start. Clinton has released her tax records, and Trump hasn't. So - the ball is in Trump's court. He needs to release his tax records to be on the same playing field, before he or his supporters can demand anything else. Kaine and Pence need to do the same (I think Kaine already has, not sure about Pence).
Then ... we move on to the charitable foundation records. I would imagine these are available anyway, if anyone bothered to look for them, so I'm not sure what the kerfluffle here is about. But if they're not, then yep, both candidates need to release this information. This needs to be transparent.
Then we get into the medical records. We read that Hillary is having seizures, Trump's a clinical psychopath, we're diagnosing them both. I have an issue with the call for the medical records - there is no precedence for that, and that's way too much of personal violation (and against HIPPA) for my taste. Those who really want it to work like this - think. It would need to go both ways, but really - is this where we want to go? And if it does, are you prepared for your party's candidates to be subjected to the same invasive crap as you want the other party's candidates to go through? Will anyone decent even want to run? This year we have the two most hated candidates ever to choose from (possibly - they didn't have the same kind of polls a hundred years ago), but do we really want to do this to either of them, knowing the precedence it will set?
So. What records can we reasonably require, and how do we ensure that all candidates provide them?
